Bearing in the role of periodic load, contact appearance is very easy to break out of fatigue, that is, the emergence of cracking and spalling, which is an important damage to the bearing situation. Therefore, in order to improve the service life of bearing, bearing steel must have very high contact fatigue strength.

During the bearing task, not only rolling friction occurs between the ring, the roller and the maintainer, but also sliding friction occurs, so that the bearing parts have been worn out. In order to increase the wear of bearing parts, maintain the stability of bearing accuracy and extend the service life, bearing steel should have good wear resistance.
Hardness is one of the important qualities of bearing quality, which has indirect influence on contact fatigue strength, wear resistance and elastic limit. The hardness of bearing steel should reach HRC61 ~ 65 in operation, which makes the bearing obtain higher contact fatigue strength and wear resistance.
Four. Rust preventive properties
In order to avoid corrosion and rust of bearing parts and finished products during processing, storage and operation, it is required that bearing steel possess good anti-rust performance.
Five, processing performance
In the course of consumption, bearing parts have to go through many cold and hot working procedures. In order to satisfy the requirements of small quantity, high efficiency and high quality, bearing steel should have good processing performance. For example, cold, hot forming, cutting performance, hardenability and so on.
In addition to the above basic requirements, bearing steels should also meet the requirements of proper chemical composition, average external microstructure, less non-metallic dopants, conformity to the specification of external appearance shortcomings and non-exceeding the regular concentration of decarbonization layer.
